The Princess & the Marine | The Wedding of Laura & Michael
December 31st, 2011It was a crisp sunny one-year anniversary for Laura & Michael – and they finally got to have their wedding! I was so excited to be a part of this serene, intimate family-affair at the First United Methodist Church in Wetumpka. The air was scented with fresh Christmas evergreens throughout the church. It was glowing with Christmas lights, evening sun and candles. I’ll let the photos tell their story, but it began for me with a little bird awaiting the festivities upon the church sign at my arrival…

GOTW | 11.5 months!!!
December 28th, 2011Gwen took her first steps December 19th – all because she wanted me to pick her up :) We’ve been having fun with her Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt here at the house for Christmas. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since she was born! It’s gone so fast!

Welcome to the World, Sydney! | 8 days old
December 23rd, 2011Sydney is the daughter of a former bride and groom, Jessica and David! I am sooooo happy for them! They are so sweet and will be awesome parents! I had the opportunity to meet little Sydney at only 8 days old. It is so true, they grow so fast – especially when I compare her to Gwen. Sydney is so cute with all of her hair and dimples that showed up with all of her sleeping smiles :)

December 15th, 2011Christmas, funerals, tears of joy, 2012 approaching, baby girl about to walk, happy anniversary to my husband (yesterday), house guests from Florida to Hong Kong, you name it, it’s been going on… but I’m going to share a camellia…one of those Southern flowers that blooms in the winter, looks like a rose and doesn’t smell like anything… have a great day!

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
My mom-in-law, Sherrye, went to Heaven this morning. She is at peace, her battle with cancer is over and she is in His arms. I will add more to this later as through this fast-departing process, the above verse has meant so much to me.
Thank you for understanding that I will complete all orders in the ‘timely-est’ fashion possible, especially during this Christmas season. It is now a time to heal.
